BMW Coding Service
What is Encoding?
Coding actually has several starting points:
- With BMW vehicles it is possible to change/code certain settings and configurations.
- With BMW vehicles it is possible to retrofit options, so-called retrofits. These retrofits must be coded after installation.
- With BMW vehicles, it is necessary to code it after a certain module has been replaced in the car.
What kind of functions can you code?
This is different per car. Below is a list of the most common encodings. Do you want to know what is possible for your car? Feel free to contact us.
With the purchase of this Coding Service, we will go through all possible options, it is also possible to try certain options, you can always go back to the original!
Common codes:
- Launch control
- Start-stop off when starting the car
- Start-stop remember the last mode

Coding new modules
BMWs are delivered from the factory with various options. As soon as you replace a certain module (because your old one was broken, for example), you have to code it.
You actually teach the new module which car it is in and which options that car has. If you do not code a new module, certain options may no longer work.
For example, you replace the JBBF module of your car. Your car has seat heating, but the module with which you replace your broken JBBF comes from a car without seat heating.
Result: After replacement, your seat heating no longer works; the new JBBF module simply does not understand the seat heating function.
You then have to code the new JBBF module so that it knows that the car it is currently in DOES has heated seats.
For prices around coding new modules, it is best to contact us, because coding new modules is often custom work.
BMW Retrofits
Retrofitting is installing options (original BMW) that are missing from your car. Think of cruise control, navigation, Bluetooth, AUX, paddle shifters, etc.
The price as shown is only for coding functions, not for coding retrofits.
For prices around coding retrofits, it is best to contact us, because coding retrofits are often custom work.
